Food is a memory of taste - the taste of Grandma’s Home’s homestyle dishes captures our tradition.
Our goal is to share that with you, our treasured guests.
Founded in 1998 as part of a new generation of restaurants in China, the first Grandma’s Home was opened in Hangzhou, the capital of China’s Zhejiang province. From the beginning of the brand’s establishment, it has been based on Hangzhou cuisine, looking for local ingredients, constantly developing the tastes of Jiangnan, and allowing classics and current popular cuisine to coexist.
Celebrating the rich culinary traditions of “the land of fish and rice” and sharing it with the next generation in a modern setting, the restaurant was an immediate success. Known for the quality of its food offered at an affordable price and its striking design, “Grandma’s” is also associated with long lines at busy locations throughout the country. Having spawned many imitators locally and abroad due to its immense popularity, Grandma’s Home now opens its first American restaurant in Manhattan. Attracting fans of the restaurants in China as well as first time visitors, our goal is to invite you into our home and share our memories of beautiful Hangzhou with you.
